Pangbourne Summer Family Quiz Organised by the Pangbourne Twinning Association. Saturday 1st August to Tuesday 1st September ENTRY for all is FREE. Every entrant has a chance of winning a prize.
The Quiz is intended to provide the families of Pangbourne and the surrounding area with some fun during the Summer Holidays of this extraordinary year.
It is in two parts: For Adults, the questions are about the history and natural history of our lovely village and the surrounding area. Many of the questions are observational as, helped by your family, you walk round the village. No questions require entry to buildings, but some require a little research on the Internet, but nothing too challenging. The star prize is Eurostar tickets for 2 to Bruges, courtesy of Triangle Travel. There are 7 other excellent prizes, and anyone who does not win one of these prizes qualifies for the 3 Lucky Dip prizes, to be drawn at the Zoom Prize-giving.
For Children Year 6 and Under, there is a separate Puzzle Competition, to be done at home. There is also an Art Competition. The star prize for the overall winner is a Family Cruise on the Thames, courtesy of Thames river cruise. The winner at each year of Under 8, 9, 10 and 11 has an excellent prize, as does the winner of the Art Competition. Each child who enters and does not win a prize already mentioned can win one of 5 Lucky Dip prizes, to be drawn at the Zoom Prize-giving.
