VISIT TO HOUDAN 2016       Friday 29th April - 2nd May .

Once again we had a very successful trip to Houdan with a warm welcoming reception and a great programme of activities. The French Twinning committee had arranged for many of the shops in the town to display welcome messages to the English families. A lovely touch. We  were treated to a day out at the home and gardens of the French author Chateaubriand and were wined and dined by our French families until we could eat no more.

Some of us even manage to squeeze in a visit to Giverney the garden of the French painter Monet and others visited the light display at Chartres cathedral.

We will put photos of the trip into the gallery.

We have now begun our fundraising activities for the return trip to us the first weekend of May.

If you are able to host a family or an individual or would like to join the preparations for next year, please contact the chairman of the association.
